Overview
Welo Data is starting a new initiative and is seeking detail-oriented professionals with strong listening and transcription skills to join our team as Transcribers. This remote position requires accurately transcribing audio files and enhancing them with contextual tags and timestamps. If you enjoy language, cultural nuances, and producing precise, high-quality work, we’d love to hear from you.

What you will do:
– Accurately transcribe audio recordings in the target language.
– Insert timestamps so the transcription aligns with the audio.
– Tag audio with emotions, context, and other key metadata to improve project results.
– Ensure transcripts are culturally appropriate and preserve the intended tone and meaning.
– Collaborate with the project team to maintain quality and consistency across all materials.
– Follow all project instructions, formatting requirements, and deadlines.

Project Details
Commitment: Flexible schedule—10–15 hours per week minimum (up to 20 hours depending on availability).
Job Type: Freelance / Independent Contractor

Pay Rate: $22/hour

Requirements:
– Native-level or professional proficiency (C1/C2) in the target language, plus strong English skills.
– Prior experience in transcription, translation, or linguistic work is strongly preferred.
– Ability to identify regional dialects, emotional cues, and contextual subtleties in audio.
– Excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to deliver error-free work.
– Familiarity with transcription software/tools and comfort using timestamps and tags.
– Reliable availability to meet deadlines and consistently produce high-quality results.
