Overview
Welo Data is launching a new initiative and is looking for detail-oriented professionals with excellent listening and transcription skills to join our team as Transcribers. This remote role involves accurately transcribing audio files and improving them with contextual tags and timestamps. If you enjoy language, cultural subtleties, and precise, high-quality work, we’d be glad to hear from you.

What you will do:
– Transcribe audio recordings in the target language with a high degree of accuracy.
– Add timestamps to match the transcription to the audio.
– Tag audio with emotions, context, and other essential metadata to strengthen project outcomes.
– Ensure transcriptions are culturally appropriate and retain the intended tone and meaning.
– Work with the project team to keep quality and consistency across all materials.
– Follow all project guidelines, formatting standards, and deadlines.

Project Details
Commitment: Flexible schedule—minimum 10–15 hours per week (up to 20 hours depending on availability).
Job Type: Freelance / Independent Contractor

Pay Rate: $22/hour

Requirements:
– Native-level or professional proficiency (C1/C2) in the target language, along with strong English skills.
– Experience in transcription, translation, or linguistic work is strongly preferred.
– Ability to recognize regional dialects, emotional signals, and contextual nuances in audio.
– Outstanding attention to detail, strong organization skills, and the ability to deliver error-free output.
– Familiarity with transcription software/tools and comfort using timestamps and tags.
– Dependable availability to meet deadlines and produce consistently high-quality results.
