More On Tap, LLC is looking for an enthusiastic Ruby developer who has the drive to bring products to the finish line.

Who you are You pay close attention to the design of your software as you create it, iterating and refining in a continuous cycle of improvement. Your designs embody the SOLID principles of object orientation. You leverage the elegant power of the Ruby object model to build flexible, maintainable applications. When faced with the task of modifying a legacy codebase, you apply a rigorous, test-based approach to refactoring.

You are a team player, contributing to productive conversation while remaining open to new ideas. You are comfortable working with your team both remotely and locally.

When it comes to the development process itself, you are a proficient Git user who knows the difference between a rebase and a branch and how that affects commit history.

Bonus points

• Your applications are loosely coupled to external dependencies like databases and Web servers: you write twelve-factor apps.

• Immutable infrastructure is your friend. From one-off batch jobs to long-running services, you architect your software to be highly portable.

• You are familiar with advanced topics in Amazon Web Services such as CloudFormation and EC2 Container Service.

• You have experience writing and consuming Web services that conform to the REST constraints.

Compensation Pay is determined based on relevant qualifications and experience. This position is for contract work on a per-project basis. Initial project will be 100 to 120 hours.
