LegitScript is looking for a talented, professional Ruby Developer to join or growing team in Dublin, Ireland. We build web applications and related tools for both internal and external clients. Our stack is Ruby on Rails, MySQL & PostgreSQL on Linux, with a supporting cast including Apache, Nginx, Redis, Elasticsearch and friends. Our workflow incorporates test-driven development with rspec, continuous integration with Jenkins, and deployments with puppet & capistrano. We do code reviews on github abd organize our work with a flexible Trello system. We are evolving towards a lightweight Service-Oriented Architecture, and are actively working off technical debt to remain flexible. We’re staying up to date on the ruby ecosystem (currently Rails 4.2, ruby 2.1.x & 2.2). You:
- are able to demonstrate proficiency with Ruby or Python
- have experience with modern web frameworks, such as Rails, Django, Sinatra, or Flask
- are familiar with relational databases and SQL
- have practical experience with test-driven development
- are comfortable working with the Linux command line
- have a sense of humor
