The Residential Solar Operations Manager will oversee the installation and development of residential solar energy systems. The role requires a strong understanding of solar technologies, project management expertise, a commitment to excellent customer service, and the ability to work independently. This position manages every stage of solar projects, from the initial consultation through final installation, ensuring projects are completed on time, efficiently, and to a high standard.
Key Job Duties and Responsibilities:
– Project Management:
– Lead and manage the full lifecycle of residential solar installations, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
– Coordinate with customers, installers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure clear communication and smooth execution.
– Monitor project progress, anticipate delays or issues, and resolve them proactively to reduce disruptions.
– Manage project software platforms and help improve processes and workflows.
– Customer Relations:
– Act as the main contact for homeowners throughout the project, maintaining strong customer satisfaction.
– Provide project updates, respond to questions, and address concerns to ensure a positive customer experience.
– Clearly explain solar systems, the installation process, and maintenance requirements.
– Coordination:
– Manage and coordinate with installers, subcontractors, internal sales representatives, and other professionals involved in the project.
– Ensure the project team follows timelines, safety procedures, and quality standards.
– Regulatory Compliance and Documentation:
– Ensure all installations meet local, state, and federal regulatory requirements.
– Obtain and submit required permits, inspection documentation, and interconnection agreements as needed.
– Keep accurate records of project details, changes, and progress.
– Post-Installation Support:
– Oversee post-installation inspections and commissioning of solar systems.
– Resolve any issues after project completion to ensure customer satisfaction and proper system performance.
– Provide ongoing support and follow-up related to system performance and maintenance.
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
– 3–5 years of experience in residential solar or renewable energy project management.
– Strong knowledge of solar technology, installation processes, and industry standards.
– Excellent project management skills, including the ability to handle multiple projects at once; strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
– Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
– Ability to read and interpret construction plans, technical drawings, and specifications.
– Experience with solar design software and project management tools.
– Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations related to solar energy systems.
Compensation: $60k–$75k
