About the Role
The UX Researcher will sit on the Customer Experience team and report to the Sr. Director of Customer Insights. Through their research, they will help the product teams (designers, product managers, developers) reveal customer needs, pain points and areas of opportunities as we design and iterate on products, features, and services. Their mission is to translate user research into improvements and innovations to the end-to-end ButcherBox experience. Our ideal candidate will be well-versed in UX research and analysis methods and they will also be an outstanding collaborator and communicator with the ability to inspire action through insights.
Responsibilites

    • Partner with the broader insights team as well as the scrum teams to define problems and opportunities to improve our products and services
    • Develop research plans and objectives that will help define specific tasks for the design team and ensure they are designing with our user needs at the forefront
    • Write usability screeners and discussion guides for testing existing experiences along with new prototypes
    • Recruit and manage participants for research studies
    • Moderate usability sessions, prototype testing, and other research activities as needed – both one on one and group
    • Extract insights from research studies and translate into actionable recommendations for the product team
    • Craft and deliver presentations that are clean and well designed and always contain actionable insights that are easy to understand and digest
    • Utilize session recordings to compliment primary research as well as broad discovery of usability issues
Requirements

    • Experience with research design utilizing various methods including but not limited to usability studies, moderated and unmoderated prototype/user testing, and surveys
    • Strong understanding of product design, UI and user behavior for ecommerce
    • Exceptional stakeholder management, relationship skills and communication
    • Expertise in presenting data visually to provide a clear and compelling story
    • Familiarity with Agile principles and experience working with agile teams a plus
    • Education and/or training in human factors, design, psychology, or similar area
$70,000 – $90,000 a year
