Piton Labs is hiring a Senior Software Engineer (full-time). We’re looking for someone who can cover multiple layers of the software development stack, with a strong preference for candidates who excel in backend development. You must demonstrate solid experience with cloud infrastructure. Startup experience—through personal projects or working at young companies—is a plus. We strongly prefer candidates located in a time zone between GMT-8 (US West Coast) and GMT-3, but we may consider other time zones depending on the situation.

## Responsibilities and Technologies

At Piton Labs, you’ll work with both startups and established organizations to solve their most challenging technical problems. You’ll operate in a software development environment characterized by high uncertainty and high complexity, helping clients build their products by focusing on what truly needs to be developed. You won’t simply follow a predefined task list—you’ll help shape priorities so the effort goes toward solving the most important client problems.

We don’t commit to a single tech stack, but most client projects use TypeScript, React, and Go. We typically rely on AWS for cloud infrastructure, though some clients may use other providers. You should have at least 5 years of experience designing and building, in one or more environments for creating large web applications, including relational databases and modern frontend frameworks. Familiarity with our preferred tools is an advantage, but not required. You must be able to continuously write reliable, well-tested code.

A typical week may include:

– Building advanced user interfaces for web or mobile applications
– Defining and developing a serverless API layer for new web products
– Setting up and deploying cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code tools
– Presenting new features to relevant stakeholders
