Piton Labs is hiring a Senior Software Engineer (full-time). We’re looking for someone who can contribute across different layers of the development team, with a strong preference for candidates who excel in back-end development. You must have solid experience with cloud infrastructure. Prior experience in startup environments—either through your own projects or by working at an early-stage company—is a plus. We strongly prefer candidates located in time zones between GMT-8 (US West Coast) and GMT-3, though we may consider other situations on a case-by-case basis.

**Responsibilities and technologies**

At Piton Labs, you’ll work with both startups and established organizations to solve their most complex technical challenges. You’ll operate in an environment with high uncertainty and high complexity in software development, helping our clients build their products by focusing on what truly needs to be built. Rather than following a predefined task list, you help set priorities and concentrate on the most important topics for our clients.

We don’t follow a fixed tech stack, but most client projects use TypeScript, React, and Go. For cloud infrastructure, we typically use AWS, though some clients may use other providers. You must have at least five years of experience building web applications in one or more major environments, including relational databases and modern front-end frameworks. Experience with our preferred tools is beneficial but not required. You must also consistently write reliable, well-tested code.

A typical week may include:

• Developing demanding user interfaces for web or mobile applications
• Designing and building a “serverless” API layer for a new web product
• Creating and deploying cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code tools
• Presenting new features to client stakeholders

You’re self-directed and passionate about building software. You enjoy solving problems and continuously improving your technical skills. Key qualities include:

**Remote work policy**

• Our team is fully remote; we don’t have a physical office
• We prefer candidates based in the United States with legal authorization to work there
• Secondary preference for candidates in Canada, Uruguay, or Paraguay
• The role requires daily availability of 4–6 hours during US Eastern Time
• We welcome digital nomads; your location can be flexible
