HONK is looking for a highly capable and proactive Security Analyst to oversee daily cybersecurity operations and lead ongoing improvements to our security program. This person will play a key role in safeguarding our networks and systems from cyber threats, enhancing security policies and infrastructure, and educating the broader organization on best practices and emerging risks. They will also partner with the engineering team to promote secure software development.

Responsibilities:
• Manage continuous monitoring of security systems and networks, regularly evaluate current protections, identify gaps, and research or recommend new security tools and methods
• Act as the main point of contact for all security-related matters
• Serve as the organization’s primary security advocate, delivering ongoing training, workshops, and simulations such as phishing exercises
• Represent the engineering team’s security perspective in cross-functional initiatives
• Contribute to security assessments of software designs and architectures as needed
• Stay current on application security trends and share relevant insights with the engineering team

Preferred Experience:
• 3+ years in cybersecurity or a related field
• Demonstrated experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
• Strong understanding of network protocols, security technologies, and industry best practices
• Familiarity with SIEM tools
• Experience with vulnerability assessment and penetration testing tools
• Knowledge of compliance frameworks such as GDPR, HIPAA, or PCI-DSS

Salary: $100,000 – $140,000 per year
