Our current Zillow release processes and frameworks have supported a weekly Major Release schedule, frequent Hot Fixes, and oversight and management of IT network and infrastructure changes. We need a strong, experienced Release engineer to help build on our successes and help support our growing services and product offerings. We look to increase release rates and provide more options for product teams and operations teams to get their changes and updates as quickly and as safely as possible, in support of Operational and Business needs. What you’ll do:

• Own and manage overall release plans

Be a key advocate and support for Change Management and Best Practices throughout the organization

• Keep and maintain release stats and trend data

*

Be able to summarize and evaluate key site metrics and provide guidance and direction for release and follow-on stability

Requirements:

• At least 3 years experience running release for a top-tier site and/or service

A technical degree preferred

• At least 3 years experience with Unix/Linux system

*

Strong communication skills

• Self-starter with solid analytical and problem solving skills.
