About the Role:
Are you interested in using functional languages on real engineering problems? Would you like to use your software engineering skills to take on interesting problems in distributed real time systems? Would you like to join a diverse software engineering team that encourages learning and personal development?
As an engineer on the Supply Engineering team you will work on our real time bidding software, integrating them with partners’ systems and improving our existing integrations. Your work will directly affect the company’s bottom line and will help fulfil AdRoll’s vision of democratizing the display advertising landscape. You’ll work with us as we partner with other teams to squeeze every last drop of performance out of our software.
Responsibilities:
Improve the intelligence of the bidding systems, converting insights from AdRoll’s business analytics team into code that affects our core business
Work as part of a multi-functional team tuning and improving a high throughput, highly available system
Help us integrate with new partners as our system expands
Qualifications:
BS or MS in computer science or related field or equivalent experience
Experience with low latency high throughput systemsorexperience with concurrent languages and parallel languages like Erlang.
Experience building, maintaining and improving highly distributed systems
Bonus Points:
Erlang, Java and Python experience – programming Polyglots welcome!
Experience or passionate about learning about functional languages
Has a genuine interest in Open Source and has personal projects
