Role

We are looking for a fully remote (EU/Ukraine only) TypeScript + React Developer to build fast, reliable web applications that are genuinely enjoyable to use. You will create a modular frontend connected to a real-time backend, visualize evolving workflows, and ensure the product stays responsive even under heavy load.

You will write production-ready code to manage live updates, job status, and user-driven interactions. Because your work will be used by scientists, analysts, and the general public, performance, accessibility, and usability are critical.

We work quickly, communicate openly, and trust each other to deliver. You will have the freedom to take ownership of your work from day one.

In this role, you will:

  • Build modern React and TypeScript web applications for teams involved in advanced weather forecasting.

  • Create interfaces to set up, monitor, and visualize real-time workflows.

  • Collaborate with a small team that includes a product manager and backend developers.

  • Work independently to solve problems and translate user needs into code.

  • Partner closely with end users.

  • Design, develop, and launch new features from scratch.

  • Improve the codebase through refactoring, bug fixes, and performance optimization.

Skills and ExperienceEssential:

  • Strong hands-on experience with TypeScript, React, and Docker when building web app frontends.

  • Comfortable working with Git, GitHub, and GitHub Actions.

  • Ability to communicate with users, understand their challenges, and convert them into clear UI/UX requirements.

  • A strong sense of urgency: you act quickly, communicate clearly, and deliver to a high standard.

  • The ability to succeed in ambiguous situations—finding solutions even when requirements or answers aren’t obvious.

  • A genuine desire to raise the bar for government software contracting.

Nice to have:

  • Experience building software for government or public sector organizations.

  • Experience creating data-heavy visualization or monitoring tools.

Why Join Us?

  • Oxidian is an early-stage, bootstrapped government software services contractor. We are profitable, have strong cash flow, and are growing.

  • We ensure taxpayer funds are used responsibly. We build software that best serves the public by focusing intensely on customer service and user experience. Internally, we prioritize operational efficiency to outperform established competitors.

  • We are a fully remote, profitable, and growing team that moves quickly while maintaining quality.

  • We focus on impactful work—no endless meetings, and decisions are made fast.
