The Position
We’re looking for engineers with strong front-end development experience. You should be comfortable with component-driven development and have working knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, and CSS. Your responsibilities will include:
– Building new product features for both customers and internal product teams
– Collaborating closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to deliver creative, practical solutions
– Helping shape the technical direction—your decisions will influence the foundation of our infrastructure
Needed qualifications
While technical skills are essential, we highly value passion, communication, and collaboration across the business.
– At least 3 years of commercial front-end development experience using React, TypeScript, and NodeJS
– At least 3 years working with complex web applications
– Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6), CSS3, and HTML5
– Experience writing unit, integration, and end-to-end (E2E) tests
– Ability to optimize code for performance across different devices and browsers
– Strong written and verbal communication skills
– Deep understanding of JavaScript, the DOM, and related concepts
– Strong attention to UI detail; our front ends should feel smooth and professional
– Understanding of progressive web apps
– Experience with Webpack, Docker, Git, and CI/CD
– Experience building mobile-friendly and responsive interfaces

– Experience working on a SaaS product (B2B)
– TypeScript experience
– Experience with Rust
– Experience in a Fintech company
– AWS Lambda / microservices architecture
– Experience with any AWS technologies

The successful candidate can work remotely, but will report to the Product Owner in Sydney. This is a full-time role with competitive remuneration based on experience. You’ll need strong written and spoken English and should be able to work primarily within the Sydney, Australia time zone (AEST).
