Job Description

We’re looking forasenior React engineer to help build our front-end and make it second to none. As a front-end engineer, you will directly impact the product and get immediate feedback from our customers. You will also be exposed to all parts of the stack, and you will help shape our company culture, engineeringpractices, and the focus of our products. The ideal candidate will be passionate about leveraging the latest technology to solve real-world problems. You must possess intellectual curiosity, a relentless desire to improve everything around you, and be the type of person who looks at things “that never were, and asks why not.”

The front-end is built using the latest Reactjs + TypeScript running on distributed Docker containers, and we are always looking to improve by utilizing the latest technologies. The backend runs on a serverless architecture in AWS.Our infrastructure is 100% code defined. Automation, fault detection/prevention, and redundancy underpin everything. Technology

  • Frontend: React + Typescript + Material UI + Cypress + Storybook + Docker

Backend: Python, Postgres, AWS, S3

  • DevOps: Python, Docker, Flyway, AWS CloudFormation

Examples of what you could be working on

  • Own end-to-end implementation of new front-end features.

Create UX and development patterns to use across multiple products.

  • Systematically track and optimize the performance of existing features.

Required experience

  • 3+ years of professional experience.

Bootcamp and engineering backgrounds encouraged to apply.

Nice to haves

  • Experience mentoring junior devs

Experience creating reusable, well typed components, HOCs

  • Ability to write clean, reusable CSS using modern features and/or frameworks

Exposure to modern browser APIs and features

  • Good understanding of the browser platform and react lifecycle for performance tuning

Experience in competing JS frameworks like Angular, Vue, Svelte

  • Experience in nodejs or other backend language
