This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a major enterprise client’s strategic initiative. You’ll embed automated testing, AI-assisted workflows, and modern test tooling into our delivery lifecycle, partnering across mobile, web, and platform teams to ensure quality is built in — not bolted on.

The ideal candidate will be part of a CI&T team working directly with clients. They will bring deep expertise in automated testing, hands-on experience with Playwright (web) and Maestro (mobile), and a working command of AI-driven workflows that accelerate test design, generation, and maintenance.

You will play a key role in defining test strategy, building automation frameworks, and validating quality across modern web applications, mobile apps, and broader digital ecosystems; projects that demand rigour.

Job Purpose

As a Mid Quality Assurance Engineer, you will contribute to cross-functional project teams by executing well-defined testing activities and supporting quality assurance initiatives that uphold product quality standards. You will be responsible for designing and executing test cases, expanding test automation coverage, and collaborating with senior colleagues to apply established testing practices and methodologies. In this role, you will help implement quality standards, learn from senior engineers, and support delivery teams by translating functional requirements into reliable test coverage while building the technical and communication skills that prepare you for greater ownership and client-facing responsibilities.

Quality Execution & Standards:

  • Apply established quality assurance strategies and testing frameworks within assigned project scope.

  • Make day-to-day decisions on testing approaches, tool usage, and execution priorities, escalating broader decisions to senior colleagues.

  • Follow and help reinforce testing standards, best practices, and quality metrics defined for the team.

  • Execute a range of testing activities including functional, regression, integration, and basic performance and security checks.

  • Contribute ideas to testing process improvements and explore new testing tools or techniques under senior guidance.

  • Participate in root cause analysis for quality issues and help implement preventive measures.

  • Stay current with relevant testing tools, frameworks, and industry practices to grow technical depth.

  • Support proof-of-concept testing efforts and flag potential quality risks for new features.

Team Collaboration & Mentorship:

  • Provide guidance and knowledge sharing to junior colleagues on day-to-day testing tasks.

  • Assist senior engineers in onboarding new team members and sharing project context.

  • Participate in technical interviews when invited, focusing on areas within your expertise.

  • Offer constructive feedback to peers during code, test case, and automation reviews.

  • Help prepare or deliver knowledge-sharing sessions on practical testing techniques.

  • Model good testing habits, including disciplined test design, automation, and clear defect reporting.

  • Collaborate openly with developers, designers, and other QAs to share context and resolve quality issues.

Testing & Automation:

  • Design and maintain automated test cases within existing automation frameworks; contribute enhancements as needed.

  • Execute integration, regression, and cross-browser or cross-device testing as required by the project.

  • Own assigned testing tasks end-to-end, ensuring adequate coverage within agreed timelines and quality expectations.

  • Provide testing estimates for features within your scope and flag risks that may affect delivery.

  • Coordinate testing activities with developers and other QAs to avoid duplication and uncovered areas.

  • Support release activities by performing quality validation, smoke tests, and post-release checks.

  • Balance thorough testing with delivery timelines and communicate trade-offs transparently.

Client & Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Participate in client meetings related to your assigned work, focusing on understanding requirements and reporting progress.

  • Contribute to quality documentation, test plans, and status reports for project stakeholders.

  • Support senior colleagues during pre-sales or client discussions by sharing relevant testing context when asked.

  • Help translate functional requirements into clear, testable specifications and test cases.

  • Provide input on testing effort and feasibility for features within your area.

  • Maintain professional, respectful communication with clients and teammates.

Professional Growth & Adaptability:

  • Take ownership of your assigned work and seek opportunities to grow into broader responsibilities.

  • Adapt to changes in project scope, tooling, or environment, asking for support when needed.

  • Apply analytical thinking and a structured approach to identifying, reproducing, and reporting defects.

  • Communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders, both in writing and verbally.

  • Continuously upskill in emerging testing tools, frameworks, and methodologies relevant to the role.

  • Operate with integrity, transparency, and accountability in all quality reporting.

₱70,000 – ₱90,000 a month
