The primary focus of the Quality Assurance Engineer is to ensure that work being created and delivered by a software development team meets requirements and satisfies the customer needs. Understanding requirements and testing against the pre-determined criteria for success will be an essential indicator of success. The ability to help others understand the importance of testing and creating advocates of building quality into the final product rather than inspecting quality in is a primary objective of this role.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Review requirements to provide timely and meaningful feedback • Create detailed, comprehensive, well-structured test plans and test cases • Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities • Design, develop, and execute automation scripts • Identify, document, and track bugs • Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved • Improve continuous integration processes and tools • Recommend new technologies and techniques to improve quality assurance processes
