Brief Overview

As our Provider Relations Specialist, you will play a key role in the day-to-day operations of the Amwell Medical Group and will be responsible for deepening our professional relationships with a wide variety of clinicians. The successful candidate will be engaging and effective in communications and detail oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality. You will act as a subject matter expert and be the go-to person for questions and provider escalations. Additionally, you will be the liaison between our internal operations team and the providers.

This individual will work closely with our Amwell Medical Group Clinicians and the Amwell Clinical Services Team.

Core Responsibilities

  • Monitors and responds to cases in the Provider Relations ticketing queue.

  • Acts as the team’s first line of defense for provider needs.

  • Coordinates outreach initiatives based on working with the internal operations team.

  • Updates the provider community site content and promotes use of the site.

  • Conducts auditing and reporting for new and existing projects.

  • Advocates and acts a liaison for providers across internal teams.

  • Streamlines internal processes to make them increasingly efficient.

  • Ad hoc requests as needed.

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of experience with clinician relationships as part of a team.

  • Bachelor’s degree or commensurate experience

  • Strong interpersonal and communications ability, including strong writing skills.

  • Strong customer service orientation and the ability to interact with diverse groups.

  • Strong decision making and problem-solving abilities.

  • Strong time management and organizational skills

  • Adaptability in a fast-paced environment

  • Fast learner, ready to jump right in with little direction and a keen attention to detail.

  • Proficient in all basic computer functions and programs, including Microsoft Office Suite

  • A proven track record of exercising good judgment and handling constantly changing priorities in a positive, professional environment.

  • Strong understanding of basic computer functions

  • Healthcare experience desired
