The CDC Foundation is working with CDC and state and local authorities to provide surge staffing that are crucial to the nation’s COVID-19 vaccine response. We are seeking candidates for a Vaccine Program Manager role. This position will work with jurisdiction staff to develop and implement systems and processes, manage project budgeting, and audit/evaluate project performance. The candidate we are seeking will be a well-rounded health or social services professional with experience in applying all aspects of public health – planning, program development, data analysis and use, and evaluate strategies that meet public health missions and goals. An ideal candidate for this role has juggled multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, maintained a high level of professionalism, and crafted timely communications to and from multiple stakeholders, always taking the stakeholders’ needs into account. The candidate will support the development and implementation of the organization’s health equity strategy and ensure that health is integrated and considered across the organization’s policies. The role requires the ability to assess data and identify barriers based upon data analyzed, initiate communications and strategies to help diminish the barriers. This position provides an excellent opportunity to improve organizational, project management, and audience-centered writing skills, in addition to building a strong knowledge base about work with state and local health jurisdictions.
