As a member of a small team, the Product Owner/Analyst has the opportunity to work on programs globally through analysis of partner and beneficiary needs while participating in Cadasta Platform development by guiding priorities and features. Not only will you be working with partners to help identify needs and implement solutions, you will be able to contribute to organizational direction and have first hand access & influence at all levels of the organization. The Product Owner/Analyst will drive the development of the platform based on user needs, long term vision for the platform, and trends in technology and land administration processes. Flexibility and a willingness to chip in, collaborate, and learn are key in this role, but that doesn’t mean long hours or work outside your scope. Our ideal candidate for the position is someone familiar with working with remote software development teams, comfortable providing on the ground technical support to partners in the field (often in emerging economies), able to train end users, and that is familiar with the land sector. We primarily work remotely, so almost anyone, anywhere in the world is eligible.
Responsibilities
Assess partner needs,document requirements and recommend appropriate tools;;
Communicate partner needs to the development team;
Lead training on platform and accompanying tools (data collection applications, etc) to end users;
Manage Scrum process as Product Owner and drive development of the Cadasta platform, with input from senior leadership of Foundation;
Create and maintain product backlog and review and drive testing of each platform iteration;
Builds relationships with partners in the land administration sector and potential funding groups;
Help maintain and expand the Cadasta platform as part of a collaborative engineering team;
Assist in troubleshooting and support of platform; and
Contribute to technical strategy for Cadasta platform and lead definition of platform roadmap.
