CruxOCM is a venture capital backed seed stage technology start-up on a mission to enhance safety and efficiency in control room operations in the $87.5 trillion dollar per year heavy industry through robotic industrial process automation (RIPA). Our diverse team is composed of highly skilled talent from the technology and energy industries.

CruxOCM was born from the belief that control room operators should be given the best tools available to perform their jobs safely and efficiently, while at the same time minimizing environmental impact and maximizing bottom-line revenue for operating companies while leveraging their existing equipment. We thought, if pilots have autopilot software, why don’t control room operators?

Inspired by the challenges our founders experienced working in major control rooms and in process control, we set out to build the tools needed to operate major industrial assets more effectively from the heart and soul of the operation, the control room.

What We Are Looking For

We’re looking for an experienced Product Manager to join our team. In this role you will organize and prioritize product development based on customer needs and product vision to enable value creation for our customers.

We empower our product teams to solve hard problems in ways that our customers love, yet work for our business. Your experience and skills will be used to come up with effective solutions that are valuable, viable, usable, and technically feasible. You are accountable for ensuring the solution is both valuable (our customers choose to buy or use) and viable (the solution works within the many constraints of the business).

The ideal candidate is collaborative, communicates well, analytical, able to execute, has experience growing an existing product as well as bringing a new product to market, operates on trust, and embraces our team’s diverse perspectives to tackle complex problems. We solve problems at a rapid pace and challenge the status quo. In providing value, the product manager is accountable to provide outcomes, not just output.

Responsibilities

Plan, implement, and maintain roadmap strategy and scheduling
Outline, track, and communicate product timeline expectations with all stakeholders
Develop and prioritize solution specifications, collaborate with Engineering to determine timelines and effort required
Analyze, build, and communicate customer requirements for new features or products effectively with internal teams
Update existing customers about new product features
Create and leverage processes to efficiently create key product and support content
Work with product SMEs to ensure technical specifications align with customer needs for development
Write and review product specification documentation
Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams to coordinate product features and go to market activities for overall product release strategy and planning
Work with Design team to develop customer use cases and personas
Maintain regular communication with Engineering team to refine and revise product specifications and implementation details
Provide input to QA team for creation of test plans and certification criteria
Collaborate with Technical Writers to develop release documentation
Work with key customers to acquire and respond to product feedback for future product releases, and communicate roadmap details
Maintain good understanding of product competitors and support Sales and Marketing teams in creating competitive responses
Champion best practices and standards for a product culture of continuous and rapid testing and learning, understanding, and promoting the need for continuous innovation

The Impact You Will Have

Be a key contributor ensuing successful product delivery for customers and enhancing the functionality of the CruxOCM platform. Given that we are an early stage start-up, there is plenty of room to grow into many career opportunities. You will be free to work without organizational or legacy friction.

In this role, you will report to our Head of Product.

Worst Part of The Job

The worst part of working for CruxOCM at this stage will be the lack of established processes. We are relying on our early team to define, build and establish the processes we need to scale rapidly. If you require a highly structured environment, or are not a self-starter, then this role is likely not for you.
