At Tanium, we’re building next generation enterprise products in the security and systems management spaces. Our platform technology allows us to scale up to even the largest of enterprises while still maintaining true, real-time command and control over endpoints.
As a product engineer, you will be tasked with building and maintaining best-of-breed products from the ground up. You will be expected to frequently team up with other groups within Tanium including other engineering teams, sales teams, and marketing teams.
Tanium focuses on a strong customer engagement model and feedback process to ensure our products are designed and planned for in right way from the beginning. Once new products are identified, our product engineers are responsible for designing the product and planning test cases from the ground up, as well as continuously iterating with customers throughout the product lifecycle.
Required – The ideal candidate is:
- Experienced and has a proven track record of engineering and leading enterprise product development
- Collaborative and enjoys working in a tight knit, team-oriented group
- Detail-oriented and passionate for creating a superlative user experience
- Deliberate and has sound judgment for balancing between prototyping and long-term code maintainability
- Knowledgeable of web technologies and experiments with new frameworks for fun
Desired – The ideal candidate:
- Derives joy from writing automated tests
- Has knowledge of a variety of frameworks (server side, browser side, or for desktop software)
- Has experience implementing and maintaining enterprise-grade software in use at Fortune 100 companies
- Can put out fires under pressure when things go wrong
