Aledade is seeking applicants for its 2026 Summer Internship Program. Interns work closely with senior leaders and contribute to meaningful, hands-on projects that build their understanding of Aledade’s operations and the broader healthcare system. The internship runs for 10 weeks, from June 1 to August 7, 2026.
The medical student intern will complete a practical, population health–focused value-based care project under the guidance of the Population Health Impact team in collaboration with Aledade First. The intern will select a topic from the list provided and produce a final deliverable such as a white paper, educational materials for practices or patients, or other media aimed at advancing population health in the communities served.
Potential project topics include:
• The Community Deprivation Index and its influence on value-based care performance
• Effects of Gemba Walks on patient engagement and activation in areas with high CDI scores
• Population health evaluations for primary care practices
• Addressing diabetes-related health disparities in historically marginalized groups
• CLAS standards and assessing health literacy to improve patient engagement
• The impact of UniteUs on social drivers of health in rural communities
Additional responsibilities include:
• Leading a weekly 30-minute journal club discussion for the Population Health Impact team
• Participating in at least one practice visit Gemba Walk
• Learning about the Aledade First program and connecting with current residents
• Completing scheduled meet-and-greets and mentorship sessions with Aledade staff
Beyond their core projects, interns will:
• Join meetings with their intern cohort to hear from leaders across the company, engage in professional development, and connect with peers
• Gain exposure to senior executives and health industry leaders
• Build knowledge in areas such as healthcare policy, programming, business operations, Medicare, payer contracts, and clinical workflows
• Attend relevant events and training in the healthcare field
Ideal candidates will have prior internship experience, strong academic performance, and be:
