Job description
We are looking for a contract developer with the ability and experience to implement a variety of integrations with select partners of the company. Our customers’ #1 wish for our platform is to integrate with their preferred software vendors. Our primary bottleneck in that effort is developer bandwidth, so we need your help writing the code that transforms our partners’ data into data that our system can understand.
This position is 100% remote, but youmust be able to overlap regularly with business hours in the US Eastern time zone. The estimated weekly effort is a minimum of 10 hours, which will increase with demonstrated success; pay will be on an hourly basis.
Skills & requirements
You know PHP and are familiar with OOP. You’ll need these skills to code to the interfaces that we will provide for interacting with our system.
You have probably used Guzzle in the past, and if you haven’t, then a quick read of the documentation interests you. Some of the work that you’ll be doing will involve APIs, and where those APIs do not have SDKs, you’ll use Guzzle – or something like it.
You have parsed complex text-based files with code in the past, and – as a result – you write defensive code to protect from data that doesn’t exactly meet the spec.
You have 10 or more hours per week – primarily during business hours in the Eastern time zone – to dedicate to these efforts.
You are comfortable working closely with another developer, who will have a large say in the architecture of the code you’re writing.
You know how to submit a pull request on GitHub – or similar – and are comfortable having your submitted code peer-reviewed.
You are comfortable jumping on a call with other stakeholders to talk through implementation details.
