The Patient and Provider Navigator serves as a liaison between the organization and its customers (providers and/or patients) to enable timely diagnostic resolution and care in the event of a Cancer Signal Detected (CSD) result. This includes removing barriers to care by identifying critical resources, providing information for both ordering providers and patients to take action and make decisions, and helping patients navigate through health care services and systems. The Patient and Provider Navigator works as part of the Medical Affairs team and provides clinical information and support to individuals using the Galleri Multi-cancer Early Detection test.
This role is approved to work remotely from Michigan. While the primary workplace is the home, you may be required to travel occasionally to a GRAIL office or other locations to perform your work or attend team-related events.
Responsibilities:

    • Facilitate communication and information exchange between patients, their healthcare team(s), and GRAIL, ensuring that patients receive timely diagnostic resolution and treatment.
    • Act as clinical liaison for our digital and telemedicine health partnerships.
    • Identify and contact patients who may need additional assistance achieving diagnostic resolution after a Galleri CSD result.
    • Ensure that Galleri test results and supporting information are available to patients’ healthcare teams.
    • As needed, identify primary care physician (PCPs) options for patients.
    • Provide input on the significance of GRAIL results, risk estimates, benefits, and limitations of follow-up options to clinicians.
    • Manage communication of CSD results and provide information about GRAIL tests to ordering providers.
    • Assist with developing Standard Operating Procedures and documentation for communication with clients and patients
    • Manage case follow-up, documentation of outcomes, and data collection.
    • Provide organizational oversight in area(s) of responsibility and function as a resource for problem-solving and process improvement to ensure completion and communication of timely and accurate test results.
    • Contribute to a positive team dynamic of high-energy collaboration, operational excellence, and results focus.
    • Adhere to company policies and procedures, including safety guidelines.
    • Comply with HIPAA regulations to safeguard the confidentiality of patient information.

Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s Degree required, advanced practice provider preferred or commensurate experience.
    • At least 3 years of clinical experience is required, ideally in oncology.
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal and analytical skills.
    • Excellent judgment and discretion; detail-oriented; ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously and meet deadlines.
    • Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities, while maintaining a positive attitude and supporting department goals and team members.
    • Ability to travel as may be required for coverage, team meetings, training, and conferences.
Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience working in a lab or with industry is preferred.
    • Familiarity with key aspects of oncology screening.
    • Proficient in Google Workspace.
Physical Demands and Work Environment

    • Hours and days may vary depending on operational needs.
    • Standing or sitting for long periods of time may be necessary.
    • Some lifting (up to 25 pounds) may be necessary.
    • Travel as may be required for coverage, team meetings, training, and conferences.
Expected full time annual base pay scale for this position is $118,000 – $148,000. Actual base pay will consider skills, experience and location.
This role may be eligible for other forms of compensation, including an annual bonus and/or incentives, subject to the terms of the applicable plans and Company discretion. This range reflects a good-faith estimate of the range that the Company reasonably expects to pay for the position upon hire; the actual compensation offered may vary depending on factors such as the candidate’s qualifications. Employees in this role are also eligible for GRAIL’s comprehensive and competitive benefits package, offered in accordance with our applicable plans and policies. This package currently includes flexible time-off or vacation; a 401(k) retirement plan with employer match; medical, dental, and vision coverage; and carefully selected mindfulness programs.
