ABOUT THE ROLE
At Hopscotch Primary Care, we use a team-based approach to meet patients’ needs and deliver the best possible care. Our goal is to provide the same level of care we would want for ourselves or our family members—at the right time and in the right setting.

As the Patient Engagement Specialist, you will drive new patient growth across all clinics by reaching out to, qualifying, and converting inbound prospective patient leads into new HPC patients. You will also serve as an ambassador for Hopscotch Primary Care by educating prospective patients about our care model and key differentiators. This is a quota-carrying role that requires strong communication, organization, and attention to detail. The position is based in Western North Carolina and is primarily remote. However, you will be expected to travel periodically to clinic locations and nearby areas to meet with the Outreach and Clinical teams, build relationships, and ensure alignment with goals and workflows. You must permanently reside in Western North Carolina, in the greater Asheville area.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
– Sales
– Contacting inbound prospective patient leads as quickly as possible to provide an excellent customer experience
– Developing, implementing, and carrying out an effective sales strategy and follow-up schedule to meet patient acquisition targets
– Conducting high-volume outreach through email, phone, text, and other channels to engage prospective patients
– Working with the Outreach Leader team and marketing efforts to maximize the impact of outreach activities
– Creating sales plans and forecasts across different timeframes (e.g., 3 months, 6 months) and tracking/reporting progress
– Relationship management
– Building strong relationships with clinical teams to support the HPC knowledge base and ensure clear communication and alignment
– Occasionally partnering with the WNC Outreach Team for community needs such as events, festivals, and HPC presentations
– Following up with new patients to gather feedback and ensure their needs are being met
– Recording full-cycle outreach activity in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system and other relevant tools—from entering leads to onboarding and retaining patients
– Collecting and documenting feedback from prospects and patients and adjusting outreach to address challenges
– Measuring and reporting key sales and account metrics against plan

ABOUT YOU
You will be a great fit if you enjoy building connections in the community, supporting prospective patients, and educating them about Hopscotch Primary Care—while strategically expanding our patient base to best serve the community.

A strong candidate will:
– Be ambitious, organized, and energetic
– Be empathetic and an active listener
– Be a self-starter who is resourceful and able to succeed with minimal direction

– Build trust quickly and handle difficult conversations professionally
– Work collaboratively and contribute to overall team effectiveness
– Demonstrate strong professional and ethical judgement at all times
– Feel comfortable discussing care with a community that is primarily senior-aged
– Be comfortable using email, Microsoft Office, and computer reporting tools (CRM experience preferred)
