TekTalent are building a dedicated application design and support team (A team of 7 Greek technical professionals) that will work together on a number of large projects supporting existing large scale business applications (predominantly Oracle) throughout a 2 year contract period (renewable) for planned project work. This work is for a number of dedicated clients and different large scale business applications throughout Ireland. As part of this remote team we are looking to hire a talented Oracle Developer. The rest of the team will also be working remotely from Greece and you will be a critical part of this dedicated TekTalent application design & support team.

This work can be done remotely with potentially only a very small amount of travel being required to Ireland (Costs for travel will be paid by clients not the contractors) This position is for a 2 year contract, potentially renewable thereafter. Contractors will issue invoices monthly for the duration of the contract and pay their social insurance and taxes locally.

Working hours will be broadly Irish Time 11.00 – 7.00Greek timeMonday to Friday but there is flexibility to work some hours earlier or later and to change schedule to suit any parenting commitments, school collections etc.

Application Developer/Oracle Application Developer and Technical Support

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting and troubleshooting all aspects of Oracle application and database, as well as providing support and issue resolution for these applications.

  • Full software development including testing;Procuring of IT equipment/software/tools required to support service delivery

  • Performing feasibility studies of potential software applications and preparing design proposals

  • Conducting analyses of systems specifications by using analysis and diagramming tools that represent business and technical processes

  • Developing conversion and system implementation plans; preparing and obtaining approval of system and programming documentation

  • Reviewing current status of system applications and preparing recommendations for system improvements

  • Training users in the conversion and implementation of systems

  • Implementing functional solutions or features within the Oracle Applications E-Business Suite.
