Ethena is one of the most impressive teams in crypto. We’re seeking a highly proactive People/HR Coordinator to act as the central operational engine for our People team. The team is currently 40+ and will continue to grow over the next few years. At Ethena, we value ownership—whether you’re junior or senior, we expect you to thrive under the responsibility that comes with the role and to have a strong drive to continually improve yourself and the way we work. This position is for someone who approaches HR with a mindset of innovation and operational excellence.
Your mission is to ensure a smooth employee lifecycle while protecting the absolute accuracy of our HR data, compliance, and internal support systems. Reporting directly to the Head of People & Talent, you will manage the technical and administrative verification layer of our people operations. You’ll work independently, treating the employee experience as your responsibility, and proactively flagging risks or inefficiencies before they become problems. We value a “security-first” approach to data and a “customer service” mindset toward our team.
Be Ethena’s HR Oracle.
Own end-to-end onboarding for all new hires, ensuring that equipment, accounts, background checks, and documentation are fully completed before day one.
Track all HR reviews, probation, and bi-annual performance cycles, including career progression and compensation reviews.
Create and maintain a comprehensive “HR Operations Playbook” covering every recurring SOP, from leave-of-absence tracking to termination checklists.
Own the HRIS (we use Deel) as the single source of truth. Perform full audits to ensure 100% accuracy of employee records, compensation data, and org charts, with regular validation.
Manage day-to-day enrollment and termination for all team benefit plans and respond to employee questions in a timely manner.
Partner with Talent Acquisition to compile information for scorecards and job descriptions, manage complex interview scheduling, and support the handoff from offer letter to onboarding.
Produce quarterly reports on headcount, turnover, and time off to provide leadership with actionable insights.
2+ years of experience (more is a plus) in a lean HR function for a small to mid-sized organization.
Strong attention to detail, ensuring everything is accurate even in a fast-paced, high-output environment.
Fluency with HRIS, performance management, and ATS tools (Deel, BambooHR, Greenhouse, Lever, Leapsom, PERK), with the ability to automate repetitive work and generate custom reports.
A proven ability to spot friction in the employee lifecycle and propose new solutions without being prompted.
Ability to translate complex policies into clear, simple language, while handling sensitive health and disciplinary information with strict confidentiality.
Basic knowledge of employment law (we’re global, so you don’t need to know everything, but you should have a foundation in at least one region) and the ability to identify legal risks that should be escalated.
Experience staying effective during rapid organizational change, and the ability to balance long-term projects with daily HR support needs.
