Position Description:
The Human Resources Coordinator supports daily HR operations while managing office facilities and the overall workplace experience. This role assists with essential HR functions including onboarding, offboarding, policy management, employee relations, and HR compliance. It also oversees office operations to maintain an organized, welcoming environment. This hybrid role requires on‑site presence in our Lafayette, Colorado office approximately two days per week.

This position requires an organized, service‑minded professional who can handle confidential information, manage multiple responsibilities, and contribute to a positive employee experience.

Responsibilities:

Human Resources Coordination:
• Serve as an HR point of contact, addressing employee questions with timely, professional, and confidential support.
• Maintain accurate employee records in Paylocity, including I‑9s, onboarding/offboarding documents, and employee changes, and assist with audits.
• Coordinate and lead onboarding and offboarding, ensuring proper documentation, system access, and smooth remote new‑hire orientation, while continually improving the experience.
• Update job descriptions and HR policies to maintain consistency and compliance.
• Receive and escalate employee relations concerns and work closely with HR leadership.
• Assist with benefits administration, open‑enrollment preparation, and related communications.
• Support recruitment by posting jobs in the ATS and submitting new‑hire requisitions.
• Help plan events and support employee engagement and recognition initiatives.
• Complete employment verifications, unemployment responses, and HR documentation in a timely manner.
• Provide other HR administrative support as needed.

Office Management:
• Maintain the Lafayette office to ensure cleanliness, organization, and readiness; requires at least two in‑office days weekly.
• Manage mail distribution, including scanning and forwarding documents.
• Oversee the employee gear store.
• Order and manage office supplies, equipment, business cards, and materials.
• Assist with office events, meetings, celebrations, and engagement activities.
• Provide additional administrative support as assigned.

Qualifications:
• At least 2 years of experience in HR, office administration, or a related field.
• Understanding of HR best practices and a desire to expand HR knowledge.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks at once.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new systems quickly; experience with ATS or HR software is a plus.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and confidentiality.

Bonus Experience:
• Knowledge of employment laws and HR compliance (FMLA, ADA, workers’ compensation).
• Experience with Paylocity or similar HRIS.
• Experience supporting recruiting processes.
• Background in office management, facilities coordination, or event planning.

Success Criteria:
• Approachable and professional communication style.
• Ability to engage with employees while balancing organizational needs and maintaining confidentiality.
• Strong multitasking and prioritization skills with sound judgment.
• Highly organized, efficient, and comfortable in a fast‑paced environment.
• Ability to learn and research state and federal employment laws.

Compensation:
• Base salary of $60–70k.
• Annual bonus eligibility of 7.5%.

Physical Requirements:
• Frequent computer work, typing, and screen time.
• Frequent sitting or standing.
• Frequent hearing and listening.
• Regular bending, crouching, and lifting up to 20 lbs.
• Ability to travel to the Lafayette office about twice weekly.
• Occasional regional or national travel.
