We recently started a new company called PowerPlay to develop video cloud software that empowers coaches, trainers and athletes from the minors to the majors to easily communicate & collaborate around training, practice & game video clips.

Working major sports organizations such as we developed prototype video cloud software for iOS mobile devices and the web.

We’ve engaged Softball BC & Soccer BC for select pilot projects. Working closely with these teams we’ll validate and fine-tune our technology.

After pilot projects we’ll roll out a broad beta program with Softball & Soccer BC. Adoption of our product by the larger beta program will indicate product/market fit which is when we’ll build a team around the product & scale the business.

Our CTO Paul Lalonde that built our video cloud prototype was offered the position of team lead for the VR software/hardware initiative at Google. Not something you turn down. Our iOS developer was a package deal with our CTO.

We’ve started the process of looking for new full time team members, however soccer and softball are currently ramping up for spring sessions and our pilot projects are ready to go. In addition our next round of funding is contingent upon successful execution of our pilot projects.

We’d like to explore the short-term solution of engaging freelance developer(s) for our pilot projects with the following skill sets:

• iOS/Objective C • JavaScript • HTML5 • Backend – Google App Engine/Go 

The developer work for the pilot projects will involve some preliminary work tightening up our prototype preparing it for field testing, plus taking inputs from the field to edit and prepare the software for beta testing.
