At Blue Bottle, our mission is to bring people together through great coffee. From farm to final cup, we aim to elevate the craft in every step. We’re committed to shaping a better future by investing in what truly matters: a sustainable path forward for our team, our company, and the planet.

About the Job
We’re looking for passionate coffee lovers and customer service enthusiasts to join our new Kiosk opening at the Roseville Galleria in March.

Our move into instant coffee came from the belief that outstanding coffee should be accessible to everyone. With a delicious product we trust, we’ve removed many of the traditional barriers—large spaces, bulky equipment, and complicated processes. Still, the qualities that matter most remain the same across our Cafes and instant kiosks: attention to detail in crafting excellent coffee and offering warm, thoughtful service.

At Blue Bottle, a Barista is someone who cares deeply about coffee, food, sustainability, and creating meaningful guest experiences rooted in respect and hospitality. We welcome you to grow with us and help build community through coffee.

You will
• Support your team by taking pride in the tasks that keep the cafe or Kiosk running well, including cleaning, dishwashing, sweeping, dusting, mopping, organizing condiment stations, and taking out trash
• Build community by sharing your passion and knowledge of coffee with guests and motivating teammates to do the same
• Offer exceptional hospitality to guests, teammates, vendors, and suppliers
• Prepare and serve a variety of delicious beverages using different brewing methods
• Prepare and serve delicious food
• Stay informed about Blue Bottle’s current food and beverage offerings and preparation techniques, continually expanding your knowledge through tastings and training
• Regularly taste Blue Bottle beverages to maintain quality standards and refine your palate
• Support company-wide sustainability efforts
• Follow all health, food safety, and general safety guidelines
• Help foster a safe, respectful workplace

You are
• Looking for a career in food and beverage with a dynamic, growing company
• Passionate about coffee, food, and creating inclusive, welcoming experiences
• Dependable and punctual, consistently showing up ready to give your best
• Thoughtful and able to anticipate guests’ needs
• Detail-oriented, dedicated to refining your craft, and aware of the power of a great cup of coffee or plate of food
• Ready for new challenges with a positive, can-do mindset
• Eligible to work in the U.S. and at least 18 years old

You have
• Basic math and computer skills
• A flexible schedule with availability for mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays

A few benefits we offer
• Comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage for eligible employees starting on day one
• Industry-leading coffee training and continuing education
• Free Specialty Coffee Association membership and event discounts
• 401(k) plan
• Paid time off and paid volunteer hours
• 50% discount on all products in-store and online
• Two free drinks per shift for Kiosk employees
• Flexible spending and commuter benefits
• Employee Assistance Program

Compensation
• Starting at $20.00 per hour plus tips averaging about $5.00–$9.00 per shift hour

Physical expectations for this role
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods, whether working behind the bar or moving around the Kiosk
• Use of hands for precision work, including operating equipment and registers
• Ability to squat, bend, twist, and reach for items above or below
• Ability to lift, push, pull, carry, or move up to 50 pounds, such as bags of beans, milk crates, dish tubs, or trash bins
• Occasional climbing of ladders, stairs, ramps, or uneven surfaces
• Ability to taste and smell coffee and food for quality control
• Ability to listen and speak clearly to communicate with guests and teammates
