We are looking for a . NET developer who is interested in helping to evolve and modernize our Windows-based desktop applications. Familiarity and desire to work with ASP. NET Core is also helpful since future work may include . NET-based web services.. Reporting to the Engineering Manager and working remotely, you will be part of a small, close-knit team that is passionate about the . NET ecosystem, and you will often coordinate with the teams that are responsible for other layers of the product infrastructure. Building a product is a highly collaborative effort, and as such, a strong team player with a commitment to perfection is required.

- Build stable, resilient features that run indefinitely in background Windows Services
- Leverage native APIs when desired functionality is not achievable in . NET
- Assist in migrating applications from . NET Framework to . NET 5 (and beyond)
- Maintain and update React front-end for backgrounding tools
- Diagnose and fix bugs and performance bottlenecks
- Write testable, maintainable code
- Refactor legacy code to improve testability and robustness
- Write automated tests using NUnit and Moq
- You have built Windows application that call into low-level system APIs
- Are familiar with writing code that needs to run perpetually with no downtime or memory leaks
- Are comfortable in . NET Framework and . NET Core (or . NET 5)
- Have experience with websockets and other real-time communication protocols
- Keep informed about the latest advancements and patterns in the C# language
- Extensive experience creating high quality software in a team environment
- Comfortable working in an Agile software development environment
- Strong sense of ownership and ability to work cross functionally
- Passion for troubleshooting and problem solving
- Detail-oriented, professional and positive work attitude
- Ability to communicate professionally both verbally and in writing
- Experience leading many projects from start to finish
- You are located in one of the following states: AZ, CA, CO, FL, GA, KY, IL, NC, NJ, NY, OH, OR, PA, SC, TX, UT, VA, WA or Canada
- At least 5 years of . NET experience
- Firm grasp of the recent C# language versions (7+)
- Knowledge of functional or object-oriented programming
- Ability to write well-documented, testable code
- Familiarity with unit testing frameworks like NUnit, xUnit, or MSTest
- Experience with using an automated build pipeline
- Understanding of REST APIs and how to interact with them from a . NET client
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
- ASP. NET Core Web API and WPF experience is a plus
