Squirrel, a Techstars company, is looking for a programmer passionate about JavaScript and modern MVC web frontends to design and implement the web component of our personal finance platform. Our architecture is based on a clear separation between the frontends (in web, mobile, etc.) and the REST API backend, so you should be ready to take full ownership of the web component.

You would have full access to the backend code, as well as the opportunity to contribute to the overall direction of the project. Our team works very closely together, so we’re looking for good people skills. All changes are peer reviewed, so there are lots of knowledge sharing opportunities. We like fast-learning generalists, so the more technologies you have played with the better.

REQUIREMENTS

Very independent, fast learner, and great communicator Deep understanding of JavaScript as a language (and the good parts) Experience with building modern web applications (e.g. Bootstrap/HTML5/CSS3) Experience with at least one modern JS framework (e.g. Backbone/AngularJS/Ember.js) Understanding of the REST architecture and APIs based on it
