What You Will Do
• Curate well‑crafted, engaging playlists across diverse genres and moods for local audiences
• Continuously explore new music and identify emerging trends, artists, and cultural shifts in both local and global music scenes
• Use user insights and performance data to test editorial ideas and improve playlist engagement
• Develop creative editorial concepts and formats that bring music stories to life, occasionally contributing written, video, or audio content
• Partner with regional and global editorial teams on programming efforts and strategic initiatives
• Work closely with teams such as Artist and Label Partnerships, Marketing, and Product to bring cultural insight into broader workflows
• Support artist discovery through Spotify’s editorial ecosystem, helping artists connect with and expand their audiences
• Maintain a neutral, professional editorial voice that aligns with Spotify’s role in the local music landscape
Who You Are
• You have at least 5–8 years of experience in the music industry, digital programming, journalism, or music curation for major media or streaming platforms
• You are deeply connected to music and culture, with a strong understanding of South Korea’s market and evolving trends
• You are fluent in a wide range of genres and can curate for many moods, styles, and listener experiences
• You are comfortable analyzing data to guide editorial decisions and enhance performance
• You pair cultural intuition with critical thinking and can look beyond surface‑level audience signals
• You communicate clearly and can engage audiences through written content and occasional multimedia formats
• You are proficient in both Korean and English, written and spoken
• You are organized, adaptable, collaborative, and thrive in a fast‑moving environment
• You are comfortable using Google Suite and working with basic visual asset workflows in partnership with design teams
Where You Will Be
• This role is based in Seoul
• We offer flexible working options, including opportunities to work from home, with some in‑person meetings required
