We are looking for a highly capable and adaptable Accountant and Controller to handle the financial and business control activities for our three companies in Switzerland, Germany, and the UAE. This fully remote role requires a seasoned professional with strong experience in international finance, accounting, and control.

You will play an essential role by managing accounting operations, ensuring compliance with local regulations, overseeing financial reporting, improving business processes, and offering strategic insights to support key decisions.

Key Responsibilities
Accounting and Financial Compliance (40%):
• Prepare accurate financial statements and reports in line with IFRS.
• Ensure adherence to local and international tax rules and manage filings for entities in Switzerland, Germany, and the UAE.
• Manage regulatory, tax, trade, and banking compliance across all regions.
• Support internal and external audits and maintain relationships with financial authorities.
• Handle accounts payable and receivable, perform reconciliations, and process all payments.

Business Control and Optimization (30%):
• Analyze customer and product profitability.
• Monitor and optimize cash flow for improved financial performance.
• Identify and implement cost-saving measures.
• Support tender submissions and investment evaluations.
• Deliver timely and accurate management reports to guide decision-making.

Systems and Process Development (20%):
• Create and implement accounting and compliance systems suited to each country.
• Establish procedures to ensure seamless collaboration between internal bookkeepers and external accountants.
• Redesign and improve financial processes and cross‑department information flow.

Advisory and Communication (10%):
• Act as the primary contact for financial matters across all entities.
• Work closely with teams across various time zones and cultural backgrounds.
• Maintain clear, professional communication with clients, authorities, and internal stakeholders.

Requirements
• Education: Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Experience: At least 3 years in a comparable position; 5+ years preferred.
• Skills:
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and local regulations in Switzerland, Germany, and the UAE.
• Proficiency with accounting tools (such as Xero or QuickBooks) and Excel.
• Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
• Experience developing and implementing structured systems.
• Familiarity with the European VAT system.
• Language: Fluent English required; German and Arabic are a strong plus.
• Mindset: Proactive, independent, and confident in communication.
• Technical: Stable internet connection and a focused remote work setup.
