About Us/The Why:
Hi! Let’s make this a bit personal. My name is Xavier Armand, co-founder and CEO at Vaan – a 50-person design & development agency known for crafting exceptional digital experiences across e-commerce and brand design. We’re looking for a Multimedia Editor to join our sales & marketing team and help us elevate our video and multimedia content. I am writing this because you’d be working on my team alongside our Director of Growth and Marketing Manager.

This is a very exciting position to us because we’re doubling down on our content marketing approach. Our hypothesis is that we do incredible work and it’s our Sales & Marketing teams job to be the loudspeaker that broadcasts it to the world. We’ve found our biggest bottleneck is generating the creative asset (video, graphic) to support. And that’s where you would come in.

Position Overview: We are seeking a Multimedia Editor who is both design-oriented and adept in video editing and graphic design. This role will be responsible for editing video footage into short, engaging clips for LinkedIn, YouTube, and other digital platforms. Additionally, the Multimedia Editor will work closely with the Marketing Manager and Director of Growth to ensure that all content aligns with our agency’s brand style and messaging. We’re looking for energy, coachability and attitude over experience!

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Video Editing:
    • Edit and repurpose existing video footage into short-form content for social media, focusing on platforms like LinkedIn, YouTube, and Instagram.
    • Trim and assemble raw footage, adding graphics, transitions, and sound to create cohesive, on-brand content.
  2. Creative Development:
    • Use the agency’s brand style guide to create video templates and establish a cohesive style for future multimedia content.
    • Collaborate with the design and marketing teams to brainstorm new ideas for video posts that align with our content strategy and growth goals.
  3. Cross-Channel Support:
    • Work with the Marketing Manager and Director of Growth to develop multimedia content that enhances engagement across social media and marketing channels.
    • Adapt video content for use across multiple platforms, optimizing it for different formats and audiences.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in video editing and multimedia design, preferably in a design or digital agency environment.
  • Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve).
  • Familiarity with graphic design software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or After Effects.
  • A strong understanding of branding, typography, and visual storytelling.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a focus on working with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at once and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Nice-to-Have:
  • Experience with motion graphics and animation.
  • Knowledge of social media trends and best practices for video content across different platforms.
  • Familiarity with sound editing and audio production tools.
