These insights are also experimentally evaluated in our state-of-the-art Biological Modeling Laboratory to accelerate the development of new therapeutic options for patients. We are seeking a Director/Senior Director of Business Development to lead the sales growth of our modeling laboratory services.
What You’ll Do:
Expand Tempus footprint into pharma and biotech, interfacing with internal and external teams to drive revenue and expanded growth in organoid modeling and other functional genomics modalities
Sell and contract new projects with customers with limited supervision in a quota-driven environment
Interface with internal Tempus teams, including marketing, leadership, scientists, and technicians to develop novel 3D organoid models, including high throughput high content imaging assays
Build upon an existing framework to continuously improve organoid and other patient-derived model-based research
Drive strategic thinking to create best-in-class organoid and functional genomics platforms
Engage with commercial and academic strategic partners to create next-gen models representing current unmet needs and indications in oncology
Collaborate with engineers, computational biologists, data scientists, and machine learning scientists on R&D initiatives both internally and with our pharma partners
Qualifications:
5+ years in a fast-paced sales environment with a focus on NGS, oncology, or biomarker technologies
Demonstrated expertise in tumor modeling, biomarker strategy, and oncology therapy development
History of meeting and exceeding sales targets and quotas
Experience with both internal and external projects involving multidisciplinary teams or collaborations
Preferred Candidates will Possess:
Hands-on experience developing novel protocols, assays, and onboarding new screening technologies including tissue biomarker techniques, cell imaging, 3D cell culture assays, or organoids
Majority of industrial experience within a drug discovery, CRO services, or technology provider setting
BS/MS and preferred PhD in Biology
Ability to function in a fast-paced, cross-functional team environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to clearly present and demonstrate Tempus capabilities to cross-functional groups in both small and large formats
