We’re looking for an experienced, proactive Senior Manual QA Engineer to join our team and take ownership of ensuring the quality and reliability of our mobile applications.

As the only QA within the Polaris group, you’ll have a unique chance to grow your career and your automation expertise, while leading quality initiatives across our engineering team.

What is the Polaris group? Our mission is to help real estate agents and buyers work together in their search for a new home.

We are building Presence Copilot, an AI-powered personal assistant that gives agents the most up-to-date information while on the go, and helps consolidate client information as it guides them through the process of finding and purchasing a new home.

Our primary technology stack includes an iOS React Native application, with an Android version planned for the end of 2024. We are currently in closed beta and validating the app with our waitlist users.

What you will do as a Mobile Automation Engineer:

• Independently verify and approve production releases and hotfixes to ensure the highest quality mobile deployments.
• Create detailed test plans and establish a structured method to execute and maintain them.
• Partner with engineering teams to validate their work, progressively leading and mentoring others to strengthen QA processes.
• Oversee the bug documentation process during bug bash events, including writing detailed tickets with reproduction steps and coordinating with engineers for additional details when needed.
• Serve as the “automation champion,” continuously improving current automation efforts and promoting testing enhancements.
• Monitor application performance metrics such as load time, response speed, and UI consistency, and ensure we maintain top-tier performance standards.
• Maintain strong expertise in end-to-end (E2E) testing, including regularly reviewing live runs and troubleshooting issues on Mac test devices when they occur.
• Develop and maintain proficiency with automation tools such as Maestro, managing the current testing pipeline and addressing flaky tests to keep reliability high.

Skills and Qualifications:

• 5+ years of full-time experience as a QA Analyst, in either manual testing or test automation.
• Proven experience leading QA initiatives in a professional environment.
• Strong knowledge of, or at least familiarity with, automation tools used for testing across multiple devices and browsers.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain ideas, facilitate knowledge sharing, and collaborate effectively with team members at all levels.
• Curiosity and eagerness to learn, with a drive to tackle new challenges and deliver value quickly.

Nice to have:

• Experience with mobile E2E test automation tools for React Native (we use Maestro).
• Experience testing consumer products.
• Experience with mobile testing, either manual or automated.
