We believe in empowering consumers by helping them know which wines (and spoiler alert, all adult beverages) they will like, before having tried them focused on strong and delightful user-experiences and social networks.

What You’ll Do:

First Week: You’ll ship new code to production
First Month: Lead a full feature deployment to production
First Six Months: You’ll take ownership of an entire set of features and make decisions that impact our users
First Year: Act as a key contributor to the identification, design and development of new features aimed at improving the user experience and delivering value to our users at every interaction.
Lead and provide oversight for front and back-end coding and engineering projects for Sippd’s internal and public platforms.
Develop and deploy new features to power Sippd’s mobile application and online shopping solutions at scale
Work on selecting and implementing new technologies

Who You Are:

Experience working on or interested mobile apps and web apps through all stages of the development lifecycle
Ready to advance from a primarily individual contributor role take on a more autonomous and leadership oriented position or you’re already in such a role and want to expand your skill sets and see the meaningful impacts of your contributions
A conceptual and human-centered problem solver. Someone who seeks to understand people’s needs, motivations and behaviors – in order to translate them into impactful results.
Your head is in the clouds while your feet are on the ground. You love thinking big, and at the same time, you know when to apply pixel-perfect attention to detail.
Care deeply about the impact of your work. Have experience tracking usage of the things you build, and using the data collected to verify its efficiency.
An excellent teammate, partner and facilitator.
Software Development: 5+ years
Computer Science degree or equivalent

Tools and Technology:

Proficient with fundamental front end languages such as React, React Native and Mobile Development (iOS and Android).
Experience with server-side languages such as Python and Node JS.

We maintain a headquarters located just outside of downtown Washington DC, for periodic workshops.
