As an Immunology Medical Science Liaison, you will play a key role in translating our scientific capabilities into a meaningful impact on patients’ lives. Alpine Immune Sciences has a robust pipeline of next-generation immunology medicines, including promising assets under evaluation for inflammatory and autoimmune conditions such as systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), lupus nephritis, autoimmune glomerulonephritis, and autoimmune cytopenia.

The Immunology Medical Science Liaison is a field-based professional with scientific, clinical, and therapeutic-area expertise, responsible for delivering medical and scientific support across Alpine Immune Sciences’ multiple autoimmune programs. This role covers the US Southeast territory (TX, OK, KS, LA, AR, MO, MS, TN, AL, GA, FL, SC, NC, VA).

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Identify and build relationships with national and regional medical and scientific KOLs in alignment with Medical Affairs strategy and Alpine’s broader corporate goals.
• Provide compliant scientific exchange and education about current and emerging therapies to KOLs relevant to autoimmune indications of interest.
• Develop and maintain deep scientific, clinical, and therapeutic expertise in immunology, with a focus on autoimmune diseases and inflammation.
• Represent the company at selected continuing medical education events, medical meetings, programs, and scientific conferences.
• Partner with Medical Affairs, Clinical Operations, Clinical Development, Regulatory, Data Sciences, and Safety to ensure accurate delivery of medical and scientific information as required.
• Proactively identify and support externally sponsored clinical trials.
• Help differentiate Alpine Immune Sciences as the valued partner of choice through innovative initiatives, coordinated strategy, and scientific communication.
• Provide appropriate scientific, clinical, and educational support for internal and external stakeholders, including other members of the MSL team.
• Support medical publication activities as needed (abstracts, manuscripts, etc.).
• Collaborate with patient advocacy groups in the autoimmune therapeutic area to develop strategic interactions and patient-focused communication materials.
• Lead and/or participate in special project teams as needed.
• Coordinate scientific activities with Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, and the global franchise team as required.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3–5 years of MSL experience required.
• Prior experience in immunology, autoimmune diseases, and inflammation strongly preferred.
• Advanced degree required (MD, DO, PhD, PharmD, NP, PA).
• Ability to interpret and critically evaluate scientific and medical data in terms of scientific and business implications is essential.
• Excellent medical writing skills.
• Experience and proven capability in analyzing, communicating, and presenting complex scientific and medical information.
• Track record of successfully developing peer-reviewed publications.
• Strong customer-facing skills and the ability to collaborate with external Key Opinion Leaders on data dissemination strategies in a credible, responsive, and customer-focused manner.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal), with comfort and experience presenting and delivering talks.
• Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in a matrix environment.
• Knowledge of industry guidance on data dissemination (e.g., CONSORT, ICMJE, GPPs) and interactions with healthcare providers (e.g., PhRMA Code, AdvaMed guidelines).
• Domestic and international travel up to 60% required.

At Alpine, we use equitable workplace practices to support fair compensation. Actual pay depends on current market data, experience, and pay parity within our organization. This is a professional-level role with a compensation range of $205,000–$230,000. We offer a competitive benefits package, including stock options, an annual bonus, premium medical/dental/vision coverage for employees and dependents, and life and disability benefits, an FSA, and a 401(k). We value time away from the office, offering a flexible PTO plan of 160 hours, generous holiday time (generally 12 days), and parental benefits to help team members recharge.
