Spotify is looking for motivated students who love music and are eager to grow. This is not a traditional internship. This paid program gives you an in‑depth look at what it’s like to work at the company and introduces you to the business side of a rapidly expanding organization. The summer internship lasts about 10 weeks and begins in early June.
Business interns are placed on teams that match their academic background and interests.
As a Marketing Intern, you’ll help shape how artists and listeners interact with Spotify worldwide. You’ll work with a team of more than 100 professionals, including brand managers, creatives, designers, writers, producers, strategists, experience specialists, and brand experts. The role offers a dynamic introduction to music and content marketing, and your work will influence how people experience music.
As a Customer Success Intern, you’ll support daily tasks throughout the campaign cycle alongside the Customer Success Management team. You’ll play a trusted and essential role in helping improve the listener experience on Spotify.
As an Editorial Intern, you’ll contribute to editorial projects such as curating key audiobook playlists, developing strategies to reach new audiences, and improving internal processes used to track team performance. Ideal candidates are analytical and stay up to date with trends across literary communities and genres. Your work will help shape how audiences engage with audiobooks.
What You’ll Do
As part of the New York intern cohort, you’ll take on one of the following roles.
Marketing:
• Support the Marketing team in developing creative assets and executing campaigns with internal teams and external agencies focused on artists, partners, original content, or consumer marketing.
• Work with Spotify’s internal marketing teams and external partners to assist in executing and approving local and global campaigns.
Customer Success:
• Create or update sales orders.
• Respond to inventory availability requests for media planning.
• Gather audience insights for RFPs and campaign reports.
• Manage IO processing, campaign setup, and approvals.
• Handle third‑party brand measurement requests.
• Prepare start, mid‑campaign, and end reports.
• Manage production requests and deliverables.
• Work with third‑party partners to ensure accuracy and deadlines.
• Support key Account Management team projects.
• Assist with onboarding, scheduling, and account management logistics.
• Help with special tasks for major accounts and campaigns.
• Organize planning and strategy sessions.
• Collaborate on cross‑functional projects.
• Follow internal procedures, processes, and workflows.
Editorial:
• Work closely with U.S. editors to develop strategies and processes that improve monitoring of key performance metrics.
• Create a project that expands editorial programming opportunities for underrepresented voices and creators.
Who You Are
• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or graduate degree in Marketing or a related field.
• On track to graduate in 2026 or 2027.
• Have valid work authorization for the role’s location from June to August 2026.
• Available from June 15 to August 21, 2026.
• Highly proactive.
• Curious about global music culture, genres, history, influential artists, and trusted information sources.
• Passionate about content creation and interested in the entertainment world.
• Enjoy collaborating with others.
• Interested in production, original storytelling, and crafting clear consumer messaging.
• Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and Google Slides, and able to work with role‑specific systems like CRMs, OMSs, ad servers, and other digital media tools (for Customer Success roles).
Where You’ll Work
• The internship takes place at Spotify’s New York office.
• The program includes in‑person activities and networking opportunities. To fully participate, you’ll need to work onsite three days per week.
The hourly rate for this U.S.‑based role is 32 dollars, with the possibility of overtime. Benefits include paid holidays and learning and development opportunities. Compensation rates may vary.
