Travel to Office expectations
For Remote Roles: If this role is remote, there will be in-office events that will require travel to and from the Mississauga and/or Salt Lake City office. These will include, but not limited to, onboarding, team events, semi-annual and annual team meetings.
For Hybrid Roles: If this role is Hybrid, there will be an expectation to reside within commutable distance to the office/location specified in the job listing. We are seeking an experienced MDM Engineer with a strong background in Master Data Management (MDM) to join our team. The ideal candidate should have at least 5-7 years of experience in IT, with a focus on MDM implementation.
Responsibilities:
– Utilize your strong experience in MDM to design, develop, and implement MDM solutions, preferably using IBM MDM Standard Edition.
– Write complex queries and perform data profiling and analysis using tools like Excel, Python, or other similar tools.
– Work with databases such as MS SQL, Oracle, or DB2, and proficiently write DML, DDL, Stored Procedures, and Joins.
– Demonstrate proficiency in programming languages like Core Java, Python, and Shell Script.
– Have intermediate experience in cloud technologies, with familiarity in AWS or Azure and an understanding of cloud concepts and services.
– Troubleshoot software incidents and problems, providing effective solutions.
– Collaborate with technical and business teams, effectively communicating complex technical concepts in understandable business/layman terms.
– Possess good team player skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and contribute to a positive team environment.
– Assist in effort estimation for responding to RFP.
– Mentor junior team members.
Requirements:
– 5-7 years of experience in IT, with a focus on MDM or patient identity matching implementation.
– Strong hands-on experience in MDM, with 4-6 years of experience in IBM MDM Standard Edition preferred.
– Proficiency in programming languages like Core Java, Python, and Shell Script.
– Experience working with databases such as MS SQL, Oracle, or DB2, and proficient in writing complex queries.
– Knowledge of data profiling and analysis, including ETL processes.
– Intermediate experience in cloud technologies, with familiarity in AWS or Azure.
– Strong troubleshooting skills and incident/problem management experience.
– Familiarity with software development methodologies like SDLC and Agile, and tools like JIRA and Confluence.
– Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with technical and business stakeholders.
– Good to have experience in DevOps, CI/CD integration, data modeling and mining, large-scale enterprise MDM implementation, enterprise application development in Java, EJB, Springboot, and migrations from on-premise to cloud.

$11,300 – $126,000 a year
At PointClickCare, base salary is one of the many components that make up our total rewards package. The USD base salary range for this position is $113,000-$126,000 (not overtime eligible) + bonus + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by job and level. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual compensation is determined by job-related skills and knowledge, relevant experience including professional and lived experience, and/or work location.
