Paperpile is a modern web application to manage and write academic papers. We are a small, distributed team in the US and Austria. Our user-base is growing and so is the team around it.
Paperpile is a young product and is successfully growing based on word-of-mouth.
As the first non-technical member in our team, you will devise and execute marketing strategies to take Paperpile to the next level.
You will represent our brand in the public and grow the community around it:
- Reach prospective users in the academic community through our blog, social media, email or offline channels.
- Create and curate relevant and useful content about academic writing, publishing, productivity and beyond.
- Keep existing customers happy and engaged. Help them making the most out of our product and communicate updates and new features.
- Communicate with companies and universities interested in Paperpile site licenses.
You are:
- interested in modern web technologies and the academic community
- a good communicator
- a fast and effective writer
- experienced with digital marketing (social media, SEO, email marketing, online advertising,)
More useful experience and skills (optional):
- Academic background with insights into the research community
- Experience in the publishing or academic library industry
- Experience in non-digital marketing and PR Quantitative and/or basic programming skills for analytics and data analysis
- Design skills
