The company is seeking a part-time (approx. 10-20 hours per week) marketing expert to create and execute the startup’s digital marketing strategy. This role reports to the CEO and is responsible for creating, managing, analyzing, and reporting on the various social media campaigns and other projects (see below). The ideal candidate will be analytical, creative, and exhibit a strong ability to engage users via social media. In addition, they will have a strong background in digital content creation and management.

Responsibilities:

  • Co-own the company’s marketing plan, including current initiatives, marketing roadmap, and budget.
  • Create and implement ideas for new ways to engage our audiences through content. This could include, but is not limited to, landing pages, videos, blog, web articles, and campaigns.
  • Create and run social media ad campaigns.
  • Develop and track KPIs for all campaigns to ensure success.
  • Manage the company blog page, including the curation of content.
  • Develop strategies to further refine the landing page for better UX and retention rates.
  • Collaborate with the management and R&D teams to create content for an email newsletter.
  • Draft press releases and ensure that they are delivered to the appropriate channels.
  • Work with external partners as needed.

Experience:

  • 4-year degree in Marketing or equivalent required. Advanced degree preferred (graduate students welcome).
  • 2 to 5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Expertise in use of social media and leveraging of these platforms.
  • Understanding of content strategies and inbound marketing.
  • Proven ability to tell a compelling story about a product and why people should use it.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, projects and ever-changing priorities.
  • PR experience preferred.
  • Team player, strong customer-service attitude including interpersonal skills.

Salary and compensation

$30,000 — $50,000/year
