ABOUT THE POSITION

The GPO is Fluence’s Global Production Organization Entity that is responsible for procuring and delivering product to support the installation of storage solutions and other similar projects around the world.

As the Manager of GPO Accounting, you will:

Inventory subledger accounting owner, including cross functional coordination with Procurement teams and FP&A to accrue or support those functions with their monthly inventory analysis.
Collaborate with Accounting Controllers for all global Fluence entities to ensure proper accounting for intercompany sales transactions originating from the GPO.
Ensure proper intercompany accounting and elimination upon consolidation.
Currency revaluation & foreign currency exchange rate monitoring for 3rd party purchases as well as the GPO’s customers outside of the United States.
Owner of closing GPO AP/AR subledgers, review of payroll accruals, transactional tax compliance (VAT) and coordination of completion of month end close as per corporate timetable.
Support the Procurement and Logistics team in monitoring inventory and logistics costs.
Support the broader corporate accounting function processes as well as consolidation of all global general ledgers.
Preparation and coordination with the Fluence Shared Service Center teams for GPO specific account reconciliations.
Provide timely accounting, reporting, and system guidance to support the organization through business changes and strategic project.
General ledger and chart of accounts maintenance.
Develop and maintain strong internal controls and Sarbanes Oxley compliance.

What will you bring to Fluence?

Minimum of 5 years’ experience.
Self-starter with a proven track record of grit and determination to drive process improvement.
Ability to manage multiple projects with tight timelines.
Ability to work well in a fast paced, team centered environment.
Ability to communicate and collaborate with all levels.
Self starter that can implement a vision by working with cross functional business partners to drive change.
Demonstrated ability in managing accounting and financial reporting functions, including support in business administration, managing audits, and ERP customizations.
Ensuring compliance with the company’s accounting policy and its implementation according to the latest GAAP requirements.
Advanced knowledge and skill with excel and the ability to automate tasks.
Demonstrate the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Bachelor’s degree with a major in accounting, business administration, or equivalent training.
