Awesome opportunity for an experienced DevOps Jedi to work remotely orin our office in Sydney, helping shape platform architecture for our start-up SaaS application.

Tectonicis a digital technology company delivering exceptional online projects for blue-chip clients. We’ve launched our own SaaS product (Award Force) which is a focus of this position. We advocate for and use Agile and Lean principles across the business. Our team is partly remote, partly on-site in Sydney, fully set-up with all the tools and toys for both.

We’re looking for a DevOps engineer with a background in development or Linux systems admin and experience with Amazon Web Services.

Our applications are built in PHP (Laravel), hosted on an AWS stack that consists of a number of Linux (Ubuntu) EC2 instances, and various AWS services. We’re taking this to the next level for greater scalability and robustness, streamlining workflow to support business growth. Our technology stack makes use of Chef, Docker, Jenkins, NGINX and MariaDB.

We are at an exciting business stage, and this is a central contributing role – you will be expected to influence architectural decisions, implement and manage AWS, script automations (Bash, Ruby), write code (PHP, Laravel) and help move our core product to TDD and CI. This is a role that will grow significantly with the business.
