Senior Legal and Regulatory Affairs Officer – Limassol
The Role:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated Senior Legal and Regulatory Affairs Officer to join one of our affiliated companies in Limassol. In this role, you will provide legal expertise and advice on various legal and regulatory matters. If you are a highly skilled individual with experience in legal and regulatory affairs, hard-working, team-player with strong communication skills and attention to detail ready to take your career to the next level, then we are looking for you to join our team.
The main responsibilities of the position include:

    • Provide legal advice on fund management and portfolio management related matters
    • Draft, review and negotiate internal and external contractual agreements and other legal documents
    • Work closely with the Head of Compliance and report to the Chief Operating Officer on legal and regulatory matters
    • Conduct legal and regulatory research, analysis and briefings for various jurisdictions
    • Provide ad-hoc advice to various departments for operational and product developments in the aspect concerning legal and regulatory requirements
    • Provide legal support to the business and marketing teams in the development of new services and foster strong relationships across multiple functional areas
    • Assist in reviewing, designing and implementing data protection processes and procedures, helping to handle data subjects’ requests when needed
    • Cooperate and work together with the Compliance and the Risk Departments on legal and regulatory matters
Main requirements:

    • Degree in Law, Business, Finance, Economics or a related field
    • At least 5 years of experience in a similar position. Experience within the financial services industry, asset management, investment funds, forex or wealth management industry will be considered an advantage
    • CySEC advanced certification will be considered a plus
    • Strong understanding of AIFMD, MIFID II, AML/KYC, GDPR and other relevant European regulatory frameworks will be considered an advantage
    • Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills in Greek and English
    • Ability to prioritise multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
    • Integrity of character and high levels of confidentiality
