Join us as a Legal Apprentice to support Qonto’s legal department with contract management, product, intellectual property matters, and data protection compliance. You will work closely with Anne-Solène and contribute to the legal foundation that enables Qonto to become Europe’s #1 business finance solution for SMEs and freelancers.
This apprenticeship starts on September 2025, preferably with 4 days working and 1 day in university.
👩💻🧑💻 As a Legal Apprentice at Qonto, you will:
• Contract Negotiation & Drafting: Assist in negotiating and drafting contracts for new Qonto products to ensure legal compliance for the launch of new features in France and Belgium, while also reviewing and negotiating various contracts (SaaS, partnerships, marketing, contractor/freelancer, NDA, professional services) to protect Qonto’s interests and support business growth
• Fintech and Business Legal Expertise: Draft and update our client terms and conditions and address legal questions related to commercial, intellectual property, personal data and payment regulations
• IP Legal Expertise: Manage and protect our trademark and domain names portfolio, including legal checks of marketing projects
• Contract management: Create and maintain contract templates and organize training sessions for other Qontoers to improve legal literacy across the company
🤔 What you can expect
• Market/Team Context: You’ll join a dynamic legal team of 4 people, working in a fast-paced fintech environment across 8 European countries.
• How we work: You’ll collaborate with internal teams (Tech, Product, Marketing, Regulatory) and coordinate with external lawyers on a broad range of legal matters.
• Projects: You’ll support the team with intellectual property work, product and commercial legal matters for the French and Belgian markets.
• Tools: You’ll have access to digitized legal tools that will facilitate your work and help you develop strong skills in all in-house legal aspects, including contract negotiations.

• Their path:
Anne-Solène joined Qonto in 2023 as a Senior Legal Counsel after gaining valuable experience at Nickel and BNP Paribas. She specializes in contract negotiation, IP protection, and data privacy compliance across both French and international contexts. With experience working in London and holding a Master’s in Anglo-American Business Law, she brings a global perspective to Qonto’s legal challenges.
• What they bring to the team:
Her expertise in fintech and banking legal matters makes her an ideal mentor for your apprenticeship. She has experience supervising legal teams and interns, and her practical knowledge in contract management, IP protection, and regulatory compliance will help you develop essential skills while contributing meaningfully to Qonto’s legal foundation.
🏅 About You
• Experience: You have prior internship experience in a legal environment, preferably in tech, bank or fintech sector, with a strong interest in contractual law as well as digital, intellectual property, and data protection subjects.
• Academic Background: You’re in the final year of your master’s degree in French Law, preferably in business or banking, ready to start an apprenticeship
• Attributes: You have good drafting ability, with well-developed organizational and analytical skills to quickly identify key issues and provide sound legal advice.
• Curious mindset: You are proactive and curious with a business-oriented mindset and ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
• Communication: You have strong written and verbal communication skills in both French and English, with a good sense of diplomacy.
