The Lead Technician role is a critical and highly valued part of our growing team. They are responsible for leading the execution and planning of the day to day work and ensuring accuracy and quality. They act as a front line problem solver as well as an immediate resource and trainer for the rest of the technicians; they encourage attention to detail and enforce work standards and are an important part of positive team morale and work culture. They learn so they can teach others and work hard with the team to make our critical production timelines.
Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and leading a team of technicians in the assembly, testing, and installation of our specialized plasma reactor equipment at a production scale.
- Aid in the setup and operation of our new facility and equipment assembly lines in Zaragoza and support the evolution of the layout and manufacturing processes needed to ramp to a high production output
- Act as a frontline work coordinator to make sure the technicians have direction and the team has what it needs to meet our aggressive production deadlines while ensuring the output of high quality and consistent work.
- Work with the USA team to learn and acquire all of the hands on BKMs (Best Known Methods) and work standards then instill and enforce them in the growing Zaragoza team, .
- Coordinate with Spain and US counterparts to bring new designs and equipment changes to production.
Requirements
- A minimum of 4 years of technical experience in a hands-on relevant field of work (IE manufacturing, mechanical or electrical assembly or troubleshooting), any formal technical education or training is desired.
- Experience with standard mechanics tools and uses is mandatory such as wrenches, torque wrenches and drivers, basic material and fasteners properties, and industry standards for using these types of tools and materials.
- Experience with Vacuum systems, electrical control systems, or gas distribution systems is highly sought after (VCR and compression fittings, vacuum pumps, mass flow controllers, PLCs, flow and pressure sensors, regulators, pneumatic valves, and air control systems, etc)
- English and Spanish Fluency are mandatory as well as good written and verbal communication skills. 3 Months total of on-site training in the US and Trujillo are required.
