Tallwave is a Scottsdale, AZ company that takes ideas and turns them into great products. We work with companies ranging from Startups to Fortune 500 Enterprises. We’ve taken ideas from back-of-the-napkin sketches all the way to successful products on the market.
We are looking for someone to own our QA practice and bring leadership and innovation in that space to our business. However, this is not just a testing role(!): you’ll be heavily involved in analysis and gathering and creating requirements. You will work closely with our Design, Software Development, and broader delivery teams to bring process and best practices to the products we build.
Why you should join our team
Trust and culture. Tallwave trusts its employees and believes that they will do good work.
We foster empathy and compassion for each other and our clients. This can be hard, but it is worth it.
Recognition. We have a culture of encouraging each other, and it’s not just blowing smoke, when someone does a good job they are recognized.
Generous time-off policy.
A flexible work-from-home culture.
Food! “Lunch & Discusses” plus more throughout each month.
Medical, Dental, Life, and 401(k).
Brilliant co-workers and a willingness to iteratively improve ourselves.
Our work has been featured in TechCrunch, Forbes, Wired, Product Hunt, and more.
You’ll have significant control over your own destiny.
Qualifications & Responsibilities:
You will be writing out requirements documents, user stories, acceptance criteria, and test cases. Therefore, excellence and clarity in communication across a range of technical savviness is a must.
You will ensure that what we build meets those well defined standards.
You know how to write and execute manual test cases.
You understand test automation, regression testing, and the tools surrounding full end-to-end testing and can drive better adoption in our company.
You are familiar with source control systems (usually GitHub) and issue tracking software.
You are able to be productive without oversight.
It’ll really impress us if:
You have lead teams before.
You have experience working with near-shore teams.
You have familiarity with our tech stack: generally React or Angular, iOS/Android, and nodejs.
If this interests you, here’s what not to do: Send in a resume and wait. Instead, tell us your story. What have you built that makes you proud? How have you demonstrated leadership? What are your aspirations? What are you passionate about? What are you dying to learn next? Share with us the stuff that makes you stand out. This could be something as simple as a well-crafted cover letter, or something public that you had a hand in creating.
Tallwave is a diverse company and we want to keep itthat way. We welcome candidates of all kinds and do not discriminate.
