As a Lead Mobile App Developer at Coolblue you make sure our first (and to be built) mobile app enters the most downloaded charts in the app stores.
What you tell your friends you do ‘I make sure Coolblue is under your thumb and in your pocket.’
What you will really be doing
- You will be responsible for the App category for Coolblue. Sweeeeet.
- Evangelise and spread your Apps mentality to your colleagues.
- The popular apps you and your team develop will change the shopping experience of our customers.
- Within iOS and/or Android you will first focus on the what and second on the how.
How will you be doing this?
- Manage and build the Mobile team for Coolblue, currently existing of two people and growing.
- You also code.
- The team is multidisciplinary and Scrum is part of our soul. You prioritize work together with your team and product owner.
- You will receive immediate feedback from end-users and you will have a lot of opportunities to experiment. There is always a budget for good ideas.
- You use the right tool for the job, if it’s Android Studio, Gradle, Github, Xcode, Instruments, it does not matter what you use, as long as it gets the job done. Boom.
What we have worked on last quarter
- The first mobile app for Coolblue. It is still a secret, you will find it out soon. Both iOS and Android will be released.
- Write reusable classes in Swift. Still work in progress though.
- Testing.
What a day in the office might look like Today is the big day. The final sprint before launch of the first Coolblue app ever is finalized and the app is now ready for demo. Hard work, but fun too. The weeks leading up to the launch have been hectic. The app is practically done. You and your team have worked hard to get it done.A lot of details and footwork to sort out. But now it’s finally out there. You take a deep breath, knowing you’ve produced a good basis for this project. Time to show it to the company. Let the demo begin!
